Do you ever have dreams that when you try and describe them to someone they just dissolve in your mind? If so you will understand my struggle to describe this book. I love Joanna Trollope’s books and have read several .This one is the best one I have ever read and yet I know when I try and tell you about it that I will make it ordinary and it is extraordinary. It is about 4 very modern exceedingly successful women all juggling lives around home and family. One of them, Stacey, is made redundant and looks to her old university friends for help and support. Somehow the loss of this job impacts on all of them rippling out like a stone dropped in a pond. This is so beautifully written, Joanna Trollope gets inside these characters and makes the reader feel their lives almost as if they were inside their skin. I was particularly taken with the feelings about redundancy having been on the end of that sharp stick myself.Fabulous book to read and read again and then, if you can bear to part with it, pass it on.
