The Girl on the Train has received a huge amount of hype and I did enjoy it but didn’t feel it lived up to all the publicity. It is an interesting plot and a great page turner but I didn’t gel with any of the characters. Some people will say so what? But for me this is a huge part of my enjoyment of the book, I have to have a character I can get behind, that I can support else I cannot get fully immersed in it. We read this as one of our Book Group choices and some people loved it and others felt the same way as me. We all agreed though on what are the chances of such a number of people who are all emotionally dysfunctional in some way being connected?
